From Sandy Knoll to Digital Realms: Crafting Ambient Masterpieces
At the heart of Sandy Knoll Works is the beautiful symphony of a family's passion. My father, a Mass Art alumnus with an impressionistic style, Explored Sports, religious and instances in life that resonated deeply, capturing hearts and always finding patrons. On the other hand, Doris Weiner, my mother, delved deeply into the abstract, letting her artistry flourish at Sandy Knoll. With its name bearing my father's initials, SKW, the studio stands as a testament to their shared passion and mutual encouragement.

While the studio echoed with the splatters of paint and artistic deliberations, we, the children, ushered in a new era of exploration. Attracted by the endless possibilities of technology, we embarked on a journey to intertwine the beauty of art with the wonders of the digital age. SIME Corp, named in honor of our father and representing Sumner Internet Marketing Environments, was birthed. With it, we endeavored to capture the essence of Doris's evolving artistic language. Our collaborations resulted in experiences that transcended traditional boundaries - creating ambient 'Oh Wow' moments that pulled viewers into a world where art and technology danced seamlessly.
Today, our journey continues, driven by a legacy of artistic passion and technological innovation. We invite audiences and clients to immerse themselves in the magic of Sandy Knoll Works and SIME Corp - where family, innovation, and imagination blend beautifully.
As Doris's works were displayed anually at such places like Art Expo in NY or the Arena Gallery in Chicago where the puzzle for SIME Corp became more about the virtual experience to express her latest language elements. A great example of lifecycle of software is the Arena Gallery was captured in a FLASH experience which is no no longer supported. Now that FLASH has been EOL we have lost that experience.
