At SIMECorp, we believe in leading by example. As Albert Schweitzer once said, "Example is not the main thing in influencing others, it is the only thing." With myPromenade, we aim to set a powerful example of what can be achieved with spatial browsing.
The myPromenade experiment dives into spatial tools that allow interaction with vast amounts of information. At SIMECorp, we're driven to understand the processes of browsing, searching, and experiencing ambient information, and how users can interact with these elements collectively. We've designed this experiment to showcase the potential of today's "sand in the hand" technology.

SIMECorp's mission is to transform business practices with digital technology. Since our beginnings in the late '90s, we've pioneered innovation, such as creating the first commercial art database, allowing non-technical users to promote their artworks to a buyer-focused audience. Those were the client/server days, with browsers as the main tools for user interaction.
With myPromenade, we've ventured into the exciting possibilities of recent "sand in the hand" technology. By leveraging spatial data, users can now engage with hundreds of objects simultaneously, rather than scrolling through lists to absorb the same information.
myPromenade employs this set of tools to help users discover things of interest. We've learned that existence in this space is meaningful - things don't just disappear and magically reappear elsewhere; they maintain their presence.
We eagerly anticipate adding shared personal myPromenade spaces, allowing users to explore together on various devices like iPhone, iPad + pencil, Apple TV, and Mac.
One compelling question we're tackling is how the act of browsing changes in a spatial world versus traditional client/server web search?
myPromenade reconnects us with our first online artwork from 1995, displayed through a gallery walkthrough at www.dlweiner.com . Utilizing a simple set of tools, we've captured the experience of walking around the gallery. Explore a selection of galleries on the SKW page, where you can choose what you want added to the viewer.
Our journey with myPromenade is a shared one, with you, our users, at its heart. As we continue to redefine spatial browsing, we invite you to explore, engage, and embark on this digital adventure with us.
